Quantum Radiology is named one of Atlanta's Top 25 Physician Practices

Quantum Radiology is committed to improving the healthcare of its patients by delivering top quality, state-of-the-art imaging services. Formed by a 1995 alliance between Cobb Radiology Associates (founded in 1969) and Radiology Associates of Marietta (founded in 1951), Quantum Radiology today is the largest private practice radiology group in Georgia with over 40 sub-specialized radiologists who are known for excellence in imaging and work very hard to stay ahead of the competition.

At Quantum, every subspecialty is represented – body and Cardiac Imaging, Interventional, Mammography, Musculoskeletal, Neuroradiology, Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT Imaging - many by radiologists who are considered national experts. Coming from strong academic backgrounds with many years experience in teaching and research, these physicians are the most highly qualified and are the best and brightest in their field. They are a group of very diverse physicians that speak several different languages. They are athletes, boat enthusiasts, Boy Scout leaders, gardeners, musicians, pilots, photographers, and family men and women. They are constantly expanding the group to meet the needs of the communities they serve and the practice has grown to include over 40 radiologists who are individually chosen. Most importantly, they have dedicated their lives to providing excellent and highly comprehensive service to our community in Cherokee, Cobb, Douglas, Paulding and surrounding areas.

Georgia Vein Specialists delivers vein disease treatment for varicose veins, spider veins, venous leg ulcers and other conditions of the veins. Georgia Radiology Research and Educational Network (GRREN) advances the field of radiology through education and research of medical imaging and related disciplines. In partnership with Philips Medical Systems and Toshiba Medical, GRREN offers advanced courses on cardiac interpretation and post-processing methodology. Through the GRREN division, Quantum’s radiologists conduct clinical trials to evaluate new diagnostic and interventional methods.

Medica Imaging, LLC, Quantum’s outpatient centers, utilizes the only true Open MRI at three locations in Georgia and one in Alabama. FONAR’s revolutionary Stand-Up MRI at these facilities allows patients to simply walk in and be scanned, which permits imaging of the entire body in the weight bearing state. Given the stand-up capability, patients experience minimal claustrophobia and an unprecedented degree of comfort when compared to conventional MRI scanning.
