Dr. Ertel graduated from Emory College, Atlanta, GA with a major in biology. He received his medical doctor degree from Indiana University School of Medicine, Indianapolis, IN. Dr. Ertel’s residency was performed at Pennsylvania Hospital, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA followed by a Fellowship at Thomas Jefferson Hospital, Philadelphia PA. Dr. Ertel was then an associate professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham before joining Quantum Radiology. Dr. Ertel has a focus on portal hypertension/ TIPS, prostate artery embolization, and adrenal vein sampling. He enjoys spending his personal time with his two children, hiking, traveling, and vintage Land Rovers.
